Joe Hermes - Otherside (ft. Mike Farris)
Synopsis / Overview
Joe Hermes is a Bloomington, Illinois-based singer/songwriter with a deeply emotive style that takes in rock, outlaw country, and the troubadour tradition. Joe is a strong-willed Old Soul with little regard for following the rules and fearlessly takes on difficult topics including spirituality, addiction, and loss. His debut release, Souls With Stones EP, comes out September 6th, 2019 and was recorded in Nashville with producer Allan Barclay. nThe record features guest appearances by many top aces, including guitar icon Brent Mason, Buddy Hyatt (former Toto Keyboardist), and standout vocalist Mike Farris, and is expected to bring Joe and his songs to a much larger audience. Difficult life circumstances kept him in and out of playing music most of his life but his talent and desire were always there. nThese days, he’s back in it to win it and has evolved into an emerging recording artist with the kind of personal authenticity that only comes from living. He also performs solo and with his band Sundown Renegade throughout the Midwest region. Now, Joe makes music for his own reasons. “I wouldn't know how else to keep sane,” he says, “It is my outlet and medium of choice to help communicate not only to myself but to others.” nInfluenced by a wide range of artists from Johnny Cash to Metallica, he sets no limits on himself and easily maintains his own original space. As a singer, his low-toned voice has been compared to Eddie Vedder, Creed, and Crash Test Dummies but, taken as a complete artist, Joe Hermes is his own man in every way, a modern performer who remains connected to the emotional Truth and Humanity of American music and makes those things feel more relevant than ever before. Americana fans who are looking for something real need to start listening.nnWebsite: www.joehermesmusic.com nFacebook: www.facebook.com/soulswithstones nSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/6H16C6BJWpKitCvdQL3tyQ nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/joehermesmusic/nnLabel: Hermes Productions, LLCnnISRC: QZHYH1900005nSong IPI# BMI#30036598nnSongwriters: Joe HermesnSongwriters’ IPI#: BMI# 381800076n
